The Mid－autumn Festival,on the 15th day of eighth lunar month,is the second largest traditional festivals after the Chinese New Year.It is the day,which take the moon as a subject,for all the family members to come together,enjoying moon cakes and watching the moon which symbolizes affulence,peace and luck.The Mid－autumn Festival is also regarded as a harvest festival because autumn - all kinds of fruits,vegetables and grains matures at this time - is just a harvest festival.Many moving legends have something to do with the mid-autumn festival,such as Chang'e's flight to the moon.
