首先答案D肯定不行 在这个句子中thought to be 后面应该跟形容词或形容词性短语.跟名词的话总让人觉得别扭.不合英语习惯.
习惯性用法是It is thought to be +adj that...
A是有点怪,我看可以接受的理解只有这一种:把原句的主干看成There are more than 3000 languages in the world.而thought to be 作插入语,起解释说明的作用.
不要研究这道题，不太好。
在GMAT等考试中这是错句。
