I had a wonderful day yesterday; in fact it was probably one of the best days in my life. I slept in and woke up at ten a.m. and enjoyed a nice bowl of porridge. Since I finished all my homework yesterday, I got the whole day to play, so I called my friends and then (你的朋友的名字) and I left to go to the mall. It was a Sunday and so the mall was very crowded. We pushed through the crowd and finally arrived at the arcade. We spent the whole morning there playing games. We competed with each other to see who could get the highest score on a shooting game and I won, so he had to buy me lunch at MacDonald’s. Later after having lunch, we decided to go and watch a movie. I also got to pick which movie we would watch, and I picked (一个的电影名字). It was a really nice movie and I really enjoyed it. After the movie we said good bye to each other and went home for dinner. Ah! What a wonderful day.

My family has a variety of interests. My mother likes to cook and sew while my father has an interest in cars. My mother loves to do cross stitch (十字绣, 大部分女人都喜欢) and she makes beautiful pictures of houses, animals, and people. She would often sit down in front of the TV after dinner to work on one of her many sewing. She also loves to cook and every weekend she would cook up a delicious meal full of my favorite foods. My father on the other hand loves his cars. He would often been seen sitting on the couch with a magazine in hand reading about the latest models. He would look at everything from a pain SUV to an expensive Lamborghini. Then he would sit down beside me and show me all of his favorite cars, then tell me that he is waiting for me to become rich one day and buy him all of his dream cars. I, as a teenager obviously love my video games. I would often dream about getting the highest score or beating my friend. Of course I also like other thing such as basketball and soccer.

I have always wanted a dog as a pet, and recently my dream finally came true. While I was walking home one day, I found a puppy left on the side walk in a box. It was a golden retriever and I thought it looked so cute, and so I bought it home to see if I could keep it. After begging my parents and promising to look after him I finally got to keep him. I named the puppy xiao jin because he was an golden retriever and he had beautiful golden fur coat. He was really fun to be with. We played catch and many other games under my apartment and my friends are very jealous of me. Xiao jin is a very nice dog, but unfortunately, he wasn’t house trained so sometimes he would excrete all over the floor. He also hates taking baths and would splash water all over me when I try to give him a bath. Although xiao jin can be a bit annoying sometimes, I still love him a lot. He is the best dog I could ever ask for.
