Heart (portrayed by Kappei Yamaguchi) was a Tyrannosaurus brought up by a Maiasaura.In fact,when he just broke out from the egg shell,the leader of the Maiasaura herd had already ordered Heart’s mother (portrayed by Tomoyo Harada) to forsake him; but his adoptive mother finally decided to leave the pack and raised him herself.With the advancing age,Heart had to suffer intolerable hunger everyday with only berries as diet.Ultimately,he could not resist the urge of his natural instincts and started his ferocious life as a carnivore.However,due to the influence of his mother,Heart still had kindness deep inside his heart.One day,he stumbled upon an Ankylosaurus just hatched from an egg; the baby dinosaur mistook him as his ‘father’,and Heart named him ‘Umasou’（Delicious）.Thus,a strange episode of a father-n-son relationship began.But as the living environment deteriorated,the survival of the dinosaurs was threatened by an unprecedented destruction; whether or not Heart and his dear ones could survive the test ………….
This story is adapted from the same titled work of Japan’s famous cartoonist,Tatsuya Miyanishi,the book has won the Kembuchi Picture Village grand prize.
